My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I LOVED THIS BOOK!! This week had been a really bad in terms of reading for me, and I was dying to read something good, free of drama and unwanted angst,
Point of No Return
by Olivia Luck delivered exactly what I needed.
Violet Harper had the perfect life- great friends, a job she loved and a fairy-tale romance with her adoring husband. All was well, until one day her husband Max who is a firefighter, dies while on a job. Violet’s world is turned upside down, crushed with grief of being a young widow. Tired of seeing Violet drowning in sorrow, her best friend Stella and her husband Blake get her a job, for planning a fundraiser event for the Chicago Scrapers, a professional hockey team.
Cameron Stone is the assistant captain and star goalie for Chicago Scrapers. He is a ladies man and enjoys the life that comes with being the star player. But that changes the moment when he was out on a dinner with his team he catches a gorgeous woman across the room and finds himself captivated by her beauty, only to watch her being proposed by a man. The love he sees in her eyes makes him think of having that for himself with someone someday.
This is a beautiful story of love, fate, compassion and trust between Violet and Cam. It’s about Violet dealing with her trouble of letting go of the past, and finding herself again. Most of the characters in this book have already made appearances in the other books in the Point series and I liked them all..especially Felix and oh I loved Cameron’s dog Rocky-what an adorable pet to own!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and recommend it to everyone!Sometimes a sweet angst free romance is all you need to make you day!
